  • 7 September 2010 - New DARE abstracts of systematic reviews
    6 abstracts relevant to diabetes added in August 2010

  • 2 September 2010 - Map of medicine
    National level pathways are now available to NHS staff in England. 3 pathways relevant to diabetes have been added to the collection: Diabetes - suspected in adults, Diabetes in pregnancy and Type 1 diabetes in children and adolescents.

  • 31 August 2010 - Information in different languages
    The Diabetes UK language centre now produces patient information in 20 different languages.

  • 27 August 2010 - National service framework for children young people and maternity services - type 1 diabetes in childhood and adolescence
    An exemplar patient journey, published by NHS Diabetes to support the National Service Framework (NSF). It follows a patient, Tom, and his family, from diagnosis at age 3 through overcoming obstacles including injections, hospitalisation and bullying at school, to the transition to adult services. Published in July 2010.

  • 27 August 2010 - Newer agents for blood glucose control in type 2 diabetes - systematic review and economic evaluation
    A new technology assessment report from the NIHR Health Technology Assessment Programme, published in August 2010.

  • 26 August 2010 - How many inpatients have diabetes
    An analysis of hospital episode statistics, undertaken to estimate the number and percentage of people in hospital in England at a given time that have diabetes. Published in June 2010 by the Yorkshire and Humber Public Health Observatory.

  • 26 August 2010 - Management of overweight and obesity in children and adolescents
    Guideline synthesis from the National Guideline Clearinghouse, comparing recommendations from three UK and US guidelines. Published 3 August 2010.

  • 26 August 2010 - Diabetes action plan 2010 - quality care for diabetes in Scotland
    The latest action plan for diabetes care in Scotland, published 20 August 2010 by the Scottish Government.

  • 26 August 2010 - Interesting new diabetes papers July 2010
    The July 2010 issue of Roger Gadsby's "Interesting new papers" series is now available.

  • 17 August 2010 - New DARE abstracts of systematic reviews
    5 abstracts relevant to diabetes were added in July 2010.

  • 13 August 2010 - New DUETs records
    5 new DUETs relevant to diabetes have been added to NHS Evidence - diabetes this week. DUETs record uncertainties about the effects of treatments that cannot currently be answered by referring to reliable up-to-date systematic reviews of existing research evidence.
